Tomato and Basil Pizza

There's simply nothing better than a homemade pizza, and this version can't be beaten

Tomato and Basil Pizza Recipe: Veggie

Ingredients:

1 packet of pizza base mix

1/2 jar of ready made vegetarian pizza topping

olive oil, for greasing and frying

1 large onion, chopped

1 garlic clove, peeled and chopped

10 cherry tomatoes, halved

150g vegetarian mozzarella, torn into pieces

fresh basil leaves

freshly ground black pepper

100g kalamata black olives

You'll also need:



Pyrex Classic 30cm Metal Pizza Pan

method:

  • Preheat the oven to 220C/425F/Gas 7. Now make up the pizza base mix according to the pack instructions. Roll the dough out into a circle approx 5mm thick and place onto an oiled Pyrex pizza tray.
  • Spread the pizza topping over the base. Sauté the onions and garlic in a little olive oil until soft and translucent. Arrange on top of the pizza base with the cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, basil leaves, pepper and black olives.
  • Bake in the hot oven for 20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and golden brown. Enjoy!
