Braeburn Apple, Chilli and Pea Spread on Toasted Sourdough
Ingredients:80g frozen peas
150g Braeburn apples, skin on, roughly diced
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil (plus extra to drizzle on the toast)
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp dried chilli flakes
pinch of salt and pepper
sourdough or rye bread, sliced, to serve
- Blend the spread ingredients together in a food processer or bullet blender (you’ll be left with a rough textured spread). Add a splash of water to the blender to loosen the mixture as needed.
- Toast the bread and spread thick amounts over the slices with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
- NOTE: You can also try ground cumin and fennel seeds in addition to the spices!
